About
The American Printing House for the Blind is the world’s largest nonprofit company devoted solely to researching, developing, and manufacturing products for people who are blind or visually impaired.
Founded in 1858, it is the oldest organization of its kind in the United States. Under the 1879 federal Act to Promote the Education of the Blind, APH is the official supplier of educational materials for visually impaired students in the U.S. who are working at less than college level. APH makes textbooks and magazines in braille, large print, recorded, and digital formats.
APH also makes hundreds of educational, recreational, and daily living products including computer software and an array of assistive technology items.

Goals
APH aims to ensure that individuals who are visually impaired can benefit directly from its products and services.
To participate in a Federal program, each qualifying individual must be registered through a Student Registration System. This registration process is crucial for facilitating access to the educational resources APH provides.

Results
In collaboration with APH’s leadership team, Net Tango meticulously planned, developed, and implemented a new Student Registration System. The web application is fully accessible and incorporates comprehensive reporting and numerous tools designed to enhance the user experience.
As a result, APH can better serve its community, ensuring that visually impaired individuals receive the educational support they need.
